Federal cannabis policy is entering a period of significant uncertainty. Recent developments surrounding the federal definition of hemp, continued movement on cannabis rescheduling, and the lack of clear federal guidance are creating new questions for cannabis and hemp businesses, as well as for the banks, credit unions, insurers, and other service providers they rely on. 

Join NCIA for an exclusive members-only virtual town hall on Wednesday, September 30 for a practical discussion of what these changes mean for businesses operating in an evolving federal regulatory environment. The conversation will begin with a look at the latest federal policy developments, including recent congressional action affecting the definition of hemp and the current status of rescheduling following the conclusion of the ALJ hearing. 

From there, NCIA policy and industry experts will examine some of the less visible but potentially significant implications for business operations, including financial services, FinCEN guidance, insurance coverage, contracts, compliance requirements, and tax policy.
